Part-Time Position to start, Full-Time available  

Starting hourly pay (DOE): $15-$16 per hour

We are an established, local, independent natural pet supply store looking for a professional person to join our team.  
             

We work hard for our customers, knowing that our goal is for our guests to be happier when they leave than when they entered our business. We are also a close-knit team that likes to support one another and we have fun doing it. 
             

In the first year, you will learn our products, why we carry the products that we do and how they fit in to the company that we are. You will understand how to help pet owners through the use of the products we carry as well as help refer to other established pet-related professionals in our area. You will know that at the end of each day that you helped to make a better day for someone else. 
             

By the second year, you will: 
             

 Feel confident in what you are accomplishing, always supporting the mission of The Filling Station Pet Supplies of “making doing right by your pets as easy as possible”.  
             

Know the majority of our customers and their pets by name, as they will feel like family.  
             

Understand how our company is an integral part and plays a role in the community of which we serve. 
             

Have taken on at least one specialized area of focus that you will have complete ownership. You will embrace that you are the company expert on this topic. 
             

Your knowledge and expertise will positively influence the management on decision making. 
             

Have embraced the ups and downs with grace and professionalism. 
             

Be eager to help this growing company while being a crucial part of our success, fully knowing that you are a major part of it. 
             

Be fully aware that your positive attitude, interest in learning and growing professionally will be revered and rewarded in many ways. You will understand how there are no limits to your success with our company. 
             

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of natural foods, treats and supplements for themselves and their pets. They have a positive attitude, loves to go the extra mile to help others, has a warm personality, has a hunger to learn, understands how to deliver high-level customer service, loves working in a team environment, and most important, and has a strong affinity for helping people and their companion animals. 
             

This person has the ability to multi-task, understands how to make customers feel extra special regardless of what is happening around them, innately possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills, has above average attention to detail, and enjoys keeping their environment well-stocked and tidy. 
             

You must be able to be on their feet on a concrete surface for up to 8 hours at a time and lift up to 30 pounds regularly. Preferably three years of previous experience in a high-level customer-focused environment.
